Our team is truly grateful for the opportunity we have been given to serve others in the intellectual and developmental disability community. We were inspired by long-time friends to take the leap, follow our hearts, and build connections in this community. Our hope is to inspire others to step out of the box and follow their passions as well. Thank you for visiting us, and in advance for allowing us to provide high quality, dependable and trustworthy care to your loved ones!

Hi, my name is Shannon and I joined the Inspire Connections team as the Operations Manager. I ensure the day-to-day activities in the office run smoothly, and I manage all client intake, scheduling and payroll / billing processes. I have a background in personnel and resource management and have worked in the service industry for the past 20 years. I'm excited to be part of this team and enjoy serving our clients and support staff in this role!

I’ve been the Compliance Manager at Inspire Connections since 2022, helping keep things organized and on track. I make sure we stay on top of regulations, support audits, and keep our internal processes running smoothly. Basically, I’m the go-between for rules and real-life workflows. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me in the garden, canning what I grow, or spending time outdoors.

Hi, I'm Ruby!
I help with onboarding, connecting clients and DSPs, and supporting our Spanish-speaking community. I started as a DSP back in 2016 and quickly fell in love with the work. In 2021, I crossed paths with Inspire Connections, and I’ve been here ever since. I’m also certified to teach OIS in both Spanish and English, helping make training more accessible for everyone. This role has helped me grow in so many ways, both personally and professionally. I genuinely love being part of a team that’s caring, supportive, and feels like family. In my free time, I enjoy going on walks with my 1-year-old baby girl and 1-year-old dog, photography, discovering new places to eat, and traveling.

Portland-born and raised in Kenya, I'm currently studying Business Management & Leadership at PSU. As the Hiring Coordinator, I’m passionate about helping others and love seeing people grow and succeed. I feel grateful to be part of such a wonderful and supportive team that shares the same commitment to making a positive impact.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time in nature and the outdoors, and playing or watching soccer — especially when Manchester United is on the field.

I began working at Inspire Connections in March of 2020, and I have worked with several different clients. Each client has had unique support needs. Some have needed support in all areas of ADLs/IADLs while others have needed partial support in meeting their needs. With all the clients I have worked with, I have been delighted with the effort they have put into being as independent as possible (with a bit of encouragement) While working for Inspire Connections I also worked for the Multnomah County Health department.
I transitioned into the office in 2023, with the role of office support staff. I provided support while several staff were out for FMLA with client onboarding/dsp onboarding, maintaining and distributing our client list.
My current main role is everything medication related. This includes identifying, reaching out obtaining and maintaining accurate physician’s orders for all administration and support needs, conducting required training, and updates as needed.
Prior to Inspire Connections, I worked at Central City Concern: David P Hooper Center, all 4: transport aid (appointments, food/donation pick up/distribution, interoffice mail), intake for voluntary detox, CHIERS, and sobering station. In addition to basic CPR/AED I completed the mental health first aid emergency responder course in 2016. I’ve held many other jobs as well, I won’t go on. Feel free to ask if curious. lol
I am a recent empty nester with my adult daughter moving out September 2025, so in my free time I am very focused on organizing the space. I also enjoy, crocheting, knitting, and annoying my husband.

Since relocating to Portland, Oregon from New York City over 25 years ago, Gladys loves spending time out in nature and connecting with the community. She is committed to building inclusive spaces where everyone is able to show up as they are and be treated with respect and dignity. She helps Inspire support clients who are in need of supports around medication. She loves birds, baking and gardening!

Hi, my name is Shannon T, I serve as the ISP Update Coordinator at Inspire Connections. In my role, I make sure that when our clients’ documents are nearing expiration, updated versions are obtained that truly reflect their current needs and goals. I then utilize this information to make clear, practical training materials for our DSPs, ensuring they are fully informed and prepared to support clients in the best ways possible.
I take great pride in helping ensure that every client receives care tailored to their needs. Supporting people in ways that empower them is deeply important to me, and I am committed to making a positive difference through my work. Outside of work, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, playing dungeons and dragons, crocheting, and fishing.

Hi, I’m Charlete Craig, the Behavior Plan Coordinator here at Inspire Connections. I’ve worked in the industry for 12 years, most recently in long-term care, and I’ve been with Inspire Connections for about a month now. I’m also a mom of four (most of them grown), and I love it when we can all spend time together. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and crocheting.

Hi! I’m Cynthia, and I help with office tasks and projects while staying in touch with DSPs and clients. I also support our Spanish-speaking community and enjoy being a resource for both our team and the families we serve. I’ve been with Inspire Connection for some time and truly value the work I do and the relationships I’ve built with our team and community. Outside of work, I’m a full-time student who enjoys spending time with family and pets (I have three dogs and two cats!), as well as baking and hiking.
¡Hola!

Ronda Brooks was raised in Redland, OR. She was involved in Four-H with her horse. She loved growing up in the country. Climbing trees, catching Salmon and crawdads in the creek behind her house. A through and through country gal. She was active in all kinds of sports.
She followed her mother by becoming a nurse. In 1975, she put herself through nursing school as a janitor. She rose to head toilet scrubber. While working on the surgical and maternity floor as a nurse, she continued to work as a janitor, as the owner of the company didn't want her to quit.
After 8 years of working both jobs, she accepted an offer to be the branch manager of the janitorial company. It was during the recession and people weren't having surgeries and midwives became a popular solution to inexpensive deliveries of babies at home. Nurses were being laid off.
In1992, she went to work for the largest janitorial company in the world overseeing all operations in Oregon and Washington. It was a great job but very stressful. After many years, her doctor asked what her favorite flowers were for her funeral as she was working her way into an early death.
In 2002, Ronda went to selling janitorial products i.e., Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, etc. Mainly to her already established customers. Less stressful.
In 2021, after 46 years in the industry, Ronda decided to semi-retire. She currently works for Inspire Connections, a company that trains care givers for disabled and intellectually disabled people. She works as an office assistant where she wears many hats helping her co-workers.
Fishing, gardening and golf are her passions Having grown up around water, Ronda became a river rat. She has owned and piloted a 40 ft. motor yacht. She loved entertaining customers, friends and family on the yacht.
She spends most of her free time volunteering with Rotary and their community projects. She embraces her Norwegian heritage. She is single, no kids except a 5 lb. Papillion puppy who brings much joy. Ronda has a great network of friends and family.

Lili joined the Inspire Team as the Client Intake and Hiring Coordinator to support our Spanish speaking community. Lili enjoys spending time with her family and friends
